Four northwest agencies formed the North County Leadership Group and are hosting the North Clark County Business Opportunity Showcase on May 29, 2008. The full-day conference — at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds in Clark County, Washington — is designed to highlight economic development potential in the north county area, recruit businesses to re-locate to the area, and encourage local business growth and sustainability. The Keynote Speaker is Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. Kick-off speaker is Adrienne Moser, C0O of NAU apparel. The Expo also will include a locally focused trade show with up to 75 booths showcasing area businesses; and work sessions devoted, but not limited to, economic development, growth management, sustainability, transportation, subarea planning, and water/sewer experts.
