Mr. Greenfield will share “An Afternoon of Social Responsibility, Radical Business Philosophy, and Free Ice Cream." His presentation will provide the history of how a major company was born from humble beginnings, lessons learned in business, how to incorporate sustainable and green practices, and of course, free ice cream!

Since founded in 2002 by industry veteran Jeff Shafer, Vancouver-based Agave has become a major player in the men's premium denim business. Shafer identified a void in the market place for jeans designed to appeal to men 25 to 45 years old who wanted authentic, great fitting jeans they could wear anywhere that would be youthful and contemporary without being over styled. Agave uses only the finest Japanese, Italian and USA made Supima cotton denims. Shafer often works with boutique mills to design fabrics exclusive to Agave. Agave jeans are cut, sewn and hand-finished exclusively in California. According to Shafer, "Its all about the product & details. My job is to design and build products that bridge the gap between the hippest denim shops and the finest men's boutiques. Agave jeans are authentic enough to hold their own in the finest denim shops yet refined, sophisticated and luxuriously enough to merchandise along with the finest luxury brands," says Shafer.
